AMOLED (active matrix organic light-emitting diode) is a
display technology based on organic compounds with a high image quality. Each
pixel AMOLED screens used in producing its own light by which they do not need
the backlight and even the phone using this technology can potentially be
thinner.
Different sub-pixel arrangement was used in the AMOLED screen which
can lead to sharper images.AMOLED screens are very expensive due to which the
HTC Desire with AMOLED screen replaced by Super LCD mid-life production. It
also has some drafts which includes Super AMOLED Plus HD Super AMOLED and SuperAMOLED Plus HD.
